Diamond is the UK’s national synchrotron facility, creating one of the brightest lights in the world to examine the atomic and molecular structure of materials from a huge range of scientific disciplines. Scientists from universities, research institutes and industry take advantage of this extremely bright light for experiments in such diverse fields as biology, engineering, physics and chemistry.
